Steve Weston-Shaw is a highly experienced musician and educator based in Colliers Wood, London. As Director of Melody Makers, the successful private music studio he founded in 2015, Steve provides lessons across guitar, bass, and ukulele to students of all ages and backgrounds. His approach focuses on nurturing confidence, creativity, and lifelong enjoyment of music.

A graduate of the University of Wolverhampton, Steve has enjoyed a diverse career spanning performance, teaching, and arts management. He has toured the UK and Europe as a professional bassist, recorded for the BBC and EMI, and supported artists including No Doubt and Beverley Knight.

Committed to professional excellence, he is a member of the Independent Society of Musicians and holds enhanced DBS clearance, full insurance, and first aid certification. Steve continues to perform locally with Dirty Riffs and The Charlie Scott Trio, and volunteers with the children’s charity Woodcraft Folk..
